Student Ministries Summary of MVGB
The people of Mt. Vernon General Baptist Church feel it is important to minister to people of all ages and to invest in future Christian leaders! This is why we put so much time and energy into creating the best student ministry programs possible for those age 0-18.
Our Nursery Ministries are made available to children ages 0-3 every Sunday morning from 9-11:30 am. Parents are able participate in worship and study groups without worrying about the safety and care of their young child! The nursery is a safe, clean, and fun environment with American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certified volunteers. The volunteers care not only about your child’s safety, but also strive to show your little one the love of Jesus from the very beginning!
Pre-School Ministries are available to toddlers ages 3-5. One word that describes this ministry is active! What a wonderful age! Our Pre-school volunteers embrace the energy of toddlers and are trained in a curriculum that uses a child’s five senses to teach them about the Bible and God’s love! This ministry happens on Sunday mornings from 9-11:30 am.
K-5th grade ministries happen every Sunday Morning! From 9-10 am Elementary children have their very own study groups that help them learn the Bible and get to know other kids their age! After a snack and games in the Family Life Center, Elementary Children gather for their very own worship service designed to help them learn to worship God and have a blast while doing it!
Jr. High and High School Ministries, known as “ROCK” Youth Ministries, happen on Sunday Morning and Wednesday night. On Sunday Mornings from 9-10 am youth have age appropriate Bible study groups. On Wednesday from 6-8 pm youth gather together for fellowship (friends, food, games, and giveaways) and worship.

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
